The concept for this space started with the owners and their passion for golf in south Florida. Due to the climate and the evolving technology of golf simulators,  the space was designed so that customers could play any professional course in the world, enjoy an ice cold drink or adult beverage, all within the airconditioned 10,345 sq ft facility with 9 total state of the art golf simulators. The space also has full kitchen and full bar with seating areas along with a merchandising area and social media wall.

X Golf started with listing all scopes, creating tasks for the scopes, and then creating the schedule in which to complete those tasks. Demolition and framing were the first of the major tasks to be completed.

The space was a gable end roof with an open ceiling concept and the ridge beam is 33’ high while the perimeter walls are 22’ high.  Each step required attention to safety and aerial equipment to access the high ceilings. Once the space was free from all demolition debris we cut the slab on grade for the bar, kitchen and bathrooms underground work. We completed underground work for all the trades and then placed the concrete slab and began metal framing. The full height walls required 18 gauge steel in order to meet proper deflection so each stud was a timely task. The bar structural ceiling was designed in house by Mac Commercial and fabricated on site. It consisted of structural tube steel and angle that was suspended from the ridge beam with a bolted connection. The bar ceiling is 28’ long x 18’ wide with a recessed soffit and holds suspended liquor bottles and 8 large TVs. Once framing was completed, we started all trade roughs. HVAC was first up since the main trunk lines are 48” X 48”. The duct work was double wall insulated spiral duct as the ceilings are all open ceiling concept to show the vastness of the space. All other trades followed, and we then began the drywall phase. We hung and finished over 450 boards on this project. All finishes then commenced including all interior designer elements.

With the project 95% complete, we acquired the certificate of occupancy in only 6 months from the date of the executed contract. Mac Commercial worked through weekends and holidays in order to complete the project before season started in south Florida and we achieved that goal. The owners, landlord and all other parties involved are impressed with the quality of the work and the time frame in which we completed it.
